In this ad we can see people who act as prisoners. Women and men all look as the same. Actually they are going to see a screen in which “big brother” is telling some orders. A woman is running, she is the one who wears colorful clothes. Some policemen are running after her. But she arrives in the “cinema room” and breaks the screen. And a message is appearing: “On January 24th, Apple Computer introduce Macintosh. And you’ll see why 1984 won’t be like “1984””.
This ad is really interesting as it makes reference to the book "1984" written by George Orwell. It says that the computer will make people free. Thanks to it we will not constantly be under surveillance. But nowadays, who could live without computer? And it is so easy to check what a person is doing or where it is thanks to the Internet… Finally, 25 years after, we could ask if it is not the opposite of this ad which is happening!!!
