I know the weather is turning great and I should talk about sunglasses instead of beanies but I can’t help I really like this brand and I just want to share it with you.

This is a French clothing brand. The particular thing about this brand is that every single piece of the collection is made by… Grannies!

This 100% French brand hires old ladies to make the beanies and scarves with the best quality wool from France.  

The idea is that “every beanie should have been knitted by a Granny”. And the founders realized that Grannies love to knit and they have a lot of time, so Golden Hook turn their hobby into an extra source of income for the Grannies.

On the website you can choose between Monique, Christine, Francine and so much more to knit your scarf or beanie. There is a little description of each Granny’s hobbies or what they like to do in life, where they live, etc.

You can choose in the collection between beanies, scarves, snood and even headbands, jewelry, belts, bags and for men bows and ties! The collection is really complete but you can also choose to customize your product. You can choose the shape, the size, color/material, the stitches type and of course the Granny.

This brand has known a good expansion during the last 2 years it has been on the market. They even send items to New York, Singapore, London or Sao Paulo.

At the end, the Golden Hook founders want to have a worldwide community of knitting grannies to avoid the ecological impact and to expand the idea to the world.
