How the image of Gamers have changed

The time when fans of video games were unsociable people, who were living only for them console, is over!!!

To play video games is no more only for computer scientists, or fans of this kind of game. Or maybe are we all geeks and we do not know it!!! Indeed, nowadays everybody plays video games.

Of course video games are criticized: too much violence, phenomenon of addiction, people become unsociable, and even incitement to murder ,…

The fact is that video games are victims of stigmatization as Rock was 60 years ago, and as cinema was more than 100 years ago.

Why do video games represent a problem for media? Because it makes habits change, and so, make other medias, like TV or cinema, have less time on our screens…

For instance: in Europe 40% of people play to video games 6 to 14 hours a week, 47% watch TV 6 to 14 hours a week, and 46% surf on the Internet.

But anyway, even if some people say to play on it only once a year, and that other people play many hours a day, video games became part of our entertainment.
