Discovery Channel, the largest TV station in Romania that offers non-fiction programs, recently announced its new spring campaign, titled "This is interesting." The campaign focuses on promoting the successful new programs, composed of off-air activities and on-air, and PR activities, the campaign began on April 1 and run throughout the month.
In this campaign, Discovery Networks uses innovative tools to reach target segments of the public, especially young people curious, passionate about the world around them and eager to broaden their horizons. For the first time in the history of advertising market in Romania, there will be stripes on the middle page links to the major TV guides, in a certain slot, drawing the reader's attention on the Discovery Channel programs. Moreover, the premiere for The Discovery Channel program "How It's Made" will be promoted in supermarkets by closed circuit television systems used in these locations.
Radio and internet promotion is another important component of Discovery Channel's spring campaign. They made radio spots promoting the program "How It's Made" and banners for premieres "fighting styles" and "hooligans football fans around the world" that will be posted on major web sites that target male audience.
Discovery Channel's campaign will be supported by intensive PR activities which will include, among others, the media teasers, press materials with information about programs and exclusive interviews with presenters and experts.
