NO to the stereotypes!!

Why the man has to be strong and brawny? Why the woman has to be thin? Why the woman has to stay at home when her husband is working? Why youth girls have to wear pink clothes and youth boys, blue? Why do we have to follow these characteristics? Why can we see these characteristics on the Medias? We have to break with those rules; we are not like this and we don´t have to be like this!
Really I can´t believe why the Medias sell these images, because in the reality things are not like this. How many thin women can you see in the street? Most of the people don´t follow those rules, just because each person is different and this is the most beautiful in the society: the variety.
I can´t imagine a world if every person follow those rules: all the women would be thin and they would stay at home, taking care of their houses and their children, all the men will be strong and very virile, all the girl children would be wearing pink clothes and playing with dolls, and all the boy children would be wearing blue clothes and they would be wicked. If everything would be like this, the world would be full of robots and not persons.
The problem is that unconsciously we are receiving the rules to follow these characteristics, and we want to follow the stereotypes. If we are not the same as the television, the magazines, the style… say, we have problems to accept us.
However, people started realizing about how the Medias are selling the wrong image, and little by little things are changing. The traditional advertising of perfumes with the perfect girl and the perfect boy, are weaken, and the real situation is getting stronger in the publicity.
Recently I saw an advertising of Nestea on the cinema. Personally I think that it is a good advertising, because they gain people´s interest during all the advertisement, selling their products in an indirect way and doing a funny advertising.
This advertising is about a young boy that is playing a game with his friend in the beach, and when he moves the bottle, he has to spend a day with an old woman. If we follow the stereotypes, we would say that he is going to be bored, but with this advertising they saw that old people can be funny too. I know is a surrealistic advertising, but is a way to broke with the rules and don´t follow the stereotypes and I really think that is a good advertisement.
Not everything is as we speck; everything can happen. It´s much funnier when you see new things, and not the same things as always, so why do we have to follow the rules? Just break the rules and leave the stereotypes in a way in the advertisement; the reality is far from the stereotypes!!
