In 2011, the water brand, Contrex, created a new advertising to promote its water. In this campaign, we can see some women in front of a virtual stripper. They have to pedale on their bike as quick as possible to see him!
The brand is historically known for its thinness effects. With this advertising the brand doesn’t want to flatte women and doesn’t want to lie to them by telling them that they can lose some weight only by drinking that water. The brand just wants to be honest. The message of this campaign is that losing weight is not easy and to achieve it women have to have a balanced diet, have to drink a lot of water and have to do some sport. Contrex tells to women that they can have fun and lose weight at the same time!
This campaign was really popular in France but in some countries, this advertising can be inappropriate and can shock.
