MTV to Viewers: It's OK to Ignore Us to Watch World Cup

Because it is a hip-channel and it understands its fans, MTV try to gain even more sympathy by encouraging the public to watch the World Cup. The smart move is that they know that their public will be absorbed by the World Cup anyways and taking some advantages out of it.

So what did they do? They built a campaign and 3 spots just to let their fans know that "We understand why you aren't watching MTV". All three commercials use humor and irony in presenting the way that people get very passionate and absorbed by football and forget about their daily lives. Also, they are adapted to the MTV's wide public - the spots are filmed in Spain, Russia and Korean, and they will run on the channels outside the U.S.A.

Enjoy!
