LG's Viral
If they are good, funny, edgy, creative and maybe more, virals are a good idea to use in campaigns. There are many examples of good viral video's. The video's I am going to show you now arefrom LG. The electronic company made a viral campaign with now two video's about their new computer screens: the IPS 21:9 Ultrawide Monitor. The campaign is called: 'so real it's scary'.
The first video is about a lift with the monitors in it. On a sudden moment the lights are flickering and then the floor is falling down. I think most of you already saw this video because it was a big hit a few months ago. Now the video is seen more than 18 million times and it has been criticized. Viewers say they can see the green screen and say therefor the video is fake.

The second video, launched about a week ago, is watched more than 3 million times. In this video the screens are placed in a men's bathroom. The men are distracted by women who are flirting with them. This makes it hard for them to pee. Some of the men are even flirting back.

I think you can say these virals succeeded in entertaining people and reaching a big public. They also succeeded in telling the story about the product, namely the screen is so good, it can fool people. The only problem from the first video is the criticism, the producers could have been more secure while making the video.
