From May 2011 the campaign "There's nothing like Australia" as been the main campaign for Tourism Australia. This is a campaign where the people of Australia have their chance to show their favorite spots and things about Australia for the rest of the world.
They use a website (http://www.nothinglikeaustralia.com/.) where the people can upload storis and photos to share with others. Here you can find holiday recomendations, things to do in Australia and also find answer to your questions about your Australian trip. You can fins maps over the country and from different cities.
The campaign was design to be longlasting and in 2012 the website has been used by airlines, travel agencies and people all over the world. This year they want to make it more creative and by using quality technology the website will be more attractive. In 2012 the key words "contemporary, sophisticated, energetic and inspiring Australia" they hope that more people will go to Australia.
So why do I like this campaign? I like it because it's real people from Australia in it. They know what we, as tourists should see. I mean who doesn't know the country better than the people who lives there? It's a colorfull and also funny way of show your country to the world. The feeling I got from this campaign is that I'm more then welcome to visit Australia and while I'm there I can see and do so much. I also like that who ever that wants to share a story or a photo can do it on the website. It's all about sharing your experience with other people. And I do belive that this is a campaign who will last for a long time, thanks to the internet and the fact that we can always find new things on the website.
Also the printed ads are good, they show the variation of things you can do and all the possibilites Australia has to offer. It's mixed with nature, city life and sport life.
