Let’s
discuss about the QR codes. I wanted to react on this topic because I think
that QR codes can be either very well used or very poorly used.
When they
began to use QR codes I saw only advertising using this system to ask their
consumers to go look on the internet to get more information. I think this is
completely wrong and this doesn’t work very well. They don’t play with the QR
code system; they just put it there thinking that it will add something more
the campaign.
Why is this
way of using QR codes wrong? Simply because the consumer doesn’t want to make
the effort of looking through his QR code app if that doesn’t give him some
entertainment. If the QR code is only used as a link toward the website of a
brand it is completely useless, because most of the time people can do it by
their own, to google the brand and they have the website, it is even faster. The
QR code must send the consumer to somewhere we only can get by a QR code.
We can see
for example this ad in a magazine but we can also find this kind of campaign on
the bus stop or on a lot of billboards in the city.
Then I
looked on the Internet to find more about QR codes and I discover different
ways to use it. I think these ways are so much better. First because they give
entertainment to the consumer and then because the advertisers play with this
system.
For

People in the street feel attracted to know what is behind the QR code,
so they will use it.
It is the
same for the following campaign even if I think it’s not as well done as the Victoria’s
secret one this campaign plays with the QR codes and make the consumer wants to
look for more with the QR code.
