The companies usually use marketing strategies to promote their product in order to increase their sells, and transform their product in a successful product. Marketing often is used to sell a product or a service, but not always, it can also be used for selling ideas and values.
Probably everyone know this advertisement, it was part of an Italian designer campaign against anorexia, in 2007. Her name is Nolita, as you can see in the image, and in her advertisement we can see a naked anorectic woman, Isabelle Caro. She did not want any profit with this campaign; it was just to warn the public of the effects of this disease.
These last two advertisements are from a Portuguese organization, 'Portuguese Sleep Association' (PSA). The images show us a man and a woman sleeping. The fact of the bedspread having a drawing of a car is to associate of being sleeping in the car, when you are driving. The PSA wants to promote and sell the idea that you have to sleep well for not going sleep when you are driving. 'Driving tired can kill' is the main idea that PSA wants to transmit, so you have to sleep well to drive in security. Like the Nolita's campaign, PSA do not want any profit; just promote the idea that it is important to have a restful and refreshing sleep in order to be safe when driving.
