Do you know Pinterest? No? Then you have to go to www.pinterest.com. It’s very inspiring.
It’s a virtual pinboard, where people can pin all that stuff that inspire them and what they like or interested in. You can organize and share things you love. And this you can do in a private or in a public way. Pinterest is like a social photo-sharing website. The idea behind Pinterest is to connect everyone in the world through the 'things' they find interesting. You can compare notes with someone else about your hobbies, shopping tipps or different styles, about everything that you like.
You can use Pinterest only in English. And the website is managed by Cold Brew Labs, a team based in Palo Alto, California. Pinterest is very common in the USA and is ranked on position 34 of the most popular Websites in the USA. On August 16, 2011, Time magazine published Pinterest in its "50 Best Websites of 2011" column. In December 2011, the site entered the top 10 social networks, with 11 million total visits per week. Its current usage has made Pinterest a useful and rising tool for e-commerce. The continuation of its growth and reach partly depends on the help it gets from major social players.
The usage of Pinterest is very easy. Users of Pinterest curate themed image boards, populating them with media found online using the "Pin It" button, or uploaded from their computer. Each such item of media is known as a "pin", and can be a picture, a video, a discussion, or a monetary gift. Pins can be grouped into "boards", which are sets of pins created on a given topic. It is speculated that Pinterest is used more by women than men. This is reflected by the main topics which were posts on the pinboard like fashion, wedding and house decorating.
But now let’s go and create your personal pin. Have fun!
